About Oose Shouten
Established in 1930, Oose Shouten Ltd. manufactures and sells Oshima tsumugi, a traditional craft item that originated in Kagoshima Prefecture’s Amami Oshima Island.
In addition to traditional kimono, we also create many other items based on the theme of “feeling like Oshima tsumugi is part of your daily life” with the hope of bringing people closer to Oshima tsumugi.
We also offer cultural experiences such as our factory tours and weaving experiences so that not only Japanese customers but also those from overseas can appreciate the charms of Oshima tsumugi.
